THE STORY OF MY LIFE

I am Arthur Ivan Dumdum-Romero, currently a HUMSS student of San Pedro Relocation Center National High School (SPRCNHS) Main Campus. I am presently an Auditor of SPRCNHS Supreme Student Government; member of The Voices of SPRCNHS (Soprano 1); and also a member of Langgam Pastoral Choir (and recently, I was appointed as the President of the group). In 16 years of my existence, I faced many problems; I passed many obstacles; I made many achievements and receive many graces from the Lord. From kindergarten up to now, I received certificates, trophies, and medals from quiz bees, recognition day, and other contests. The two most precious medal I had is when I became Best in Araling Panlipunan for two consecutive years (Grade 8 to Grade 9) and when I am one of the students who receive the certificate of merit (for those who have an average of 90% and above) last year. Now, let's move on to my hobbies, activities, and favorites. I love to sing. And it is one of the things that I can't live without. I love to sing, especially when I sing church songs. That's why I started to serve God by joining Langgam Pastoral Choir last July 08, 2016. Afterwards, my daily routine changed. Another one, I love to read books, especially when it comes to history. In terms of school subject, I love Araling Panlipunan and Mathematics! But since I am now in Grade 11, Araling Panlipunan became UCSP (Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics) and Mathematics became General Mathematics. We must move on to my personality. First and foremost, I am a happy person. Once you joke even it's light, I laugh. When there is a problem, sometimes I remain happy with the situation. Second, I observed that I am too considerate. When a person comes to me and he/she says "Ahm I will go to blablabla...", I let them go to what they want to go. When a person says "Sorry I blablabla...", I've already forgiven their reasons. Third, when stress comes, I easily get mad. When a person comes to me to make me more mad, I promise you, I'll say words that you doesn't want to hear. Fourth, I am organized but as time passes by, this thing becomes lost. And last but not the least, I am ambitious. I have many dreams that I want to fulfill, places I want to go, foods I want to eat. I also want my status change, that is why I pursue to study hard and make my general average 90 and above. Oh! I forgot to say what is my preferred career. By the way, I want to be not just a teacher, but a professional teacher. I preferred to teach secondary level in a public high school. By this, I can also be a public servant. But I assure that even I fulfilled my dreams, I continuously serve the Lord by using the talents the Lord gave to me which is singing. I will continue to serve Him until the day when He already took my life and I turned back to soil.

I was born on 21st of March, year 2001 and I am the oldest of the three children of Romeo D. Romero, Jr. and Ma. Elisa P. Dumdum. My father was born on January 13, 1972 in Lipa City, province of Batangas. He is fourth of 10 children of Romeo Romero, Sr. and Zenaida de Castro. On the other hand, my mother was born on January 06, 1975 in the city of San Pedro, province of Laguna. She is second of four children of Arturo Dumdum and Rosalinda Padicio. I admit that I am too close to my mother's side, especially to my grandmother. She takes care of me when I was young when my parents go to work. Everytime she goes to church, I am together with her. When she died, I cried and cried a lot especially when the time when she was buried. I miss her so much. I miss her laughters. I admit also that I wasn't too close to my parents but to my grandma. Sometimes I ask: "Can I be trully happy even without her?" "If there are events or ocassions in our family, is there still a mark of happiness?" Sometimes I thought, "I'm sure that the ambiance of it [the house] is so sad since she died." On the other hand, in my father's side, they are big family. I have so many cousins, and some of them have jobs, one of them has a child, others are currently studying, and some are much younger than my kids, even younger than my siblings. Everytime there is an ocassion, we meet in our grandmother's house (father's side). Because of being a big family and others live in Batangas, Pasig, Cavite, etc., some of my family members are not able to come. Currently, my two titas and one tito work abroad. Now, let's go back to my family. I've already said earlier that I am not so close to my parents. But we live with a normal and simple lifestyle. My father works as a delievery man in the city of Parañaque, while my mother is a housewife. Also, I have already said that I am the oldest among the three. We are all boys. Let me introduce to you my two other siblings. Kevin, aged 12, currently a grade 7 student. His school is the same as my school. Another one, Limuel, aged 3, is the youngest. That time, we thought that my mother will not have a baby because of her age. But I am surprised when I found out that she was pregnant. I wish that the baby would be girl, not boy, but my wish hadn't granted. However, I accept it even the baby is a boy. When we have an ocassion which is exclusive only for our family, we modestly celebrate it. We also give what we can give. I can't ask my parents to buy watch, or even cellphone because for me, I doesn't want to make those things burden to my parents.
